Just saw this online today for the first time. Suppose to be the hot new fishing kayak. I just can't see paddling around a 34 inch wide boat. 30 inches or less for me. If it says tactical it automatically means it is better. You didn't know that? There is a rigorous testing process under the supervision of the FTC (Federal Tacticalness Commission) that approves products to hold the title of "tactical".

From shoulder to shoulder, I'm about 37". I don't want to hang over both sides of a kayak. I'll keep my 41" wide one and be comfortable with my shoulders inside the yak most of the time.

34 inches wide.. sounds like a "standing" platform.. too narrow and no room to keep a stable stance.

I don't want to hijack thread, but look at my signature. I love the thing. It's slow, but it's stable, and it holds 650 lbs. Plus, you sit in a nice, soft, jon boat seat.

The atak is a super stable unit . LEN although you have a large profile you would be comfortable in that as well . But ever person has a different need . But it has alot of real features that matter

If you haven't tried a yak over 30 inches wide, you need to..... Now. There is nothing better for sight fishing bedding bass on the shallows. I love to be able to stand and paddle the shallows and sight cast to fish without worrying about rolling my boat. They may be slower, but for me the pros far outweigh the cons.
