Today I just caught a nice trout at the point. I was using my new stradic 3000 and a pearl white gulp shrimp. I have been fishing all week on the pier and only caught a few smaller blowfish. It was awesome to finally catch one nice fish this week since Saturday it's time for me to head back. The trout was probably about 14 inches or a little more, I didn't measure him, just threw him back. There were a few bluefish caught on the pier and that's getting me excited for our next trip in the end of July, hopefully I'll be able to bring my yak then also.

Thanks! I'm thinking about getting a few more maybe a 5 or 6000 and an 8000. So far I love the smoothness of this reel and it casts extremely well.
