I was thinking about trying to go out friday night and do some crappie fishing at Harris lake but I wasnt sure if anyone would know if now is a good time to go or would i be wasting my time. Any tips or info would be much appreciated.

I don't know about Lake Harris but you can night fish for crappie with a light year round. I've done it more than once. The good thing about night is there is a lot less boat traffic. If you can stand the cold... I don't see and issue. Just have to watch the ice on the boat when it gets below freezing. I've had my cast net flash freeze after the first throw
