Got stripes instead! Decided to stay close to home and try for some rock at the sound bridge. Caught several shorts casting soft plastics first thing. Once the boat traffic picked up I got a quick limit on the troll and headed to the house to warm up.

Nice fish to catch and eat as well. That time of the year, caught some the other day myself.

We caught some yesterday in cape fear river. Bill Lewis RatL Traps were the ticket. A nice change from the little trout hanging around.

haha! not quite that tight but they are starting to get that way. theyre starting to show up in the mouth of the roanoke already too!

Great fishing I enjoy stripes as much as Redfish, I have only caught landlocked lake fish, I bet the salty one really are something.

Good to hear they are there. Had heard mixed reports from the bridge. Might go give them a whirl...the class of fish they are catching around Cape Charles has my mouth watering!
