The Marine Fisheries Commission (MFC) Northeast Advisory Committee will meet on Thursday, October 19, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Hatteras Village Library, 57690 NC Highway 12, in Hatteras.

The committee will receive updates on the American shad fishery issues and the advertisement of the vacancy on the Northeast Advisory Committee. The committee will also receive updates on MFC/DMF activities that affect the Northeast District.

The Draft Bay Scallop Fishery Management Plan will be presented to the committee at this meeting, including management recommendations from the Division of Marine Fisheries and the Bay Scallop Fishery Management Plan Advisory Committee. The committee will be asked to select preferred management recommendations at this meeting.
