Go up to Lanes Ferry and pay the few dollars to put in.Go left away from the bridge. Fish all the holes and creeks out of the main river. You should be able to catch all types of panfish, and possibly a bass or 2. Water is plenty deep for that skiff. River is 30'+ deep in spots.
NorthEast Cape Fear River
Does anyone know anyinformation on the NE Cape Fear River at the Pender County line at Route 40? What type fish? If it's worth fishing? Depth for a Carolina Skiff? Looking at trying there this Saturday with my boat.

Take some crickets they have been killing some big old slab shellcrackers in that area.
