Took a buddy out yesterday, it was so slick after the rain we decided to run across the river to Aurora and put in some work in a new area. Nothing like the satisfaction of picking a new spot on the map, showing up, and it looking super fishy! Plenty of gar and big mullet and birds working but not tons of bait schools like Ive been seeing elsewhere. The bite was slow and we worked for them, took a while to find the right pattern and boy were they picky today but still managed a few small flounder and this bad boy at 24" and FAT. Flatties came on mirrolure, Pumpkin came on popping cork with 3" gulp shrimp in white.
