Quick report for anyone heading to the northern OBX. NE wind has been tight (15-25) most days, it hasn't slowed down the drum fishing. Slot drum from OI to Nags Head in the surf. Bull reds on the ends of piers at night, heard bull reds in the surf up in Carova at night. I stopped at the Avalon pier the other day, big 'ol yellow belly spot showed up for the first time in about 3 years, I also saw 4 bull reds landed on the end (live bluefish).
