Chopper blues in the morning, and good eating size blues all afternoon! First gotcha plug action of the season for me, and it was a blast.

Also there was still plenty of sea mullet to be caught!

Had a nice meal of fish and chips tonight :) !!!

Is pin rig where you use an anchor rod and it lets go of the line when you get a fish? ( I need to learn how to king fish, I have the equipment, just not the know how :( )

If so, then yea they dont allow that either :(

I dont know what pin rig is, but if it uses some kinda method of floating, like a cork/ballon/etc then they wont let ya use it :(

However, what I do is I use a king rig set up ( just the wire and hook with treble hook set up ) tied straight to my line with a live finger mullet on it and I just let him swim around freely, letting him dive away from the birds lol

Can catch big Spanish this way, but not sure about king mack.

I wish they would fix the end of the pier and allow king fishing again, but from what I under stand, the man who owns the pier wants the thing to just rot and fall into the ocean without ever rebuilding it :( :(

Very very very un-fortunate for NC to see its piers just fade away like this. All we will be left with is the state government controlled piers, and I do not have my hopes up AT ALL that I will enjoy those piers, but we will see.

Not on Oceanana pier :(

They wont let you king/cobia/float fish :(

I bought a year pass there because it is very close to me, so its easy for me to just run down and fish for a bit, or all day.

When the king's are in real thick, ill probably run down to BIP for a day of fishing.
