Carolina rigs and finger mullets drifted thru the inlet works great on flounders. Just be be prepared for the occasional skate!

Work the 8 to 14 foot edges of the channels. Find a finger bay and cast some topwaters for red or pitch your live bait rig up there and see what's in there. Don't be afraid to just explore and play around. I've been rewarded a few times doing that. Ya just never know.
For artifical, 1/8 to 1/4" jigs with a skirted twin tail grub in clear with red specks under a clear float worked over weedbeds has worked good for me, to get trout. A lotta guys like the "Gulp" shrimp or grubs on their Carolina rigs for flounders too.
