How many of you senior members fished from those old plywood Carolina boats (the green and white ones) back in the 50's, 60's, and 70's ? We caught coolers and coolers full of perch and croaker from the one we had back then.....

I still see these around Washington in use.

Come to think of it, I recall seeing one at Lake Wilson a couple of years ago. I haven't been to the Pamlico in over 20 years, was disappointed with the small size of the croakers there.

My dad and grandfather one when I was a kid, and a lot of people in my area had them also. I also bought an old used one and had it for a while. My dad used a 12 HP Sea King outboard on his. It would plane easily with 2 adults and a kid or 2 in it. I think that engine was under rated. They were very nice boats. Just had to add paint occasionally.

oh yea, my dad had a 16ft with a 25 johnson had it for years, got rid of it about 10 years ago. man lot of fish came across the sides of that thing
