I was thinking about taking the factory seat out and moving my seat forward and put back of the seat in the factory front hole and drill new one for the front. I was going to try to leave the seat up high, but will it make it to tippy. I saw this in the video, but have any of you guy's done this and how did it work. Any other help or advice would be great.
Also, drag chain setup idea's.

Most guys move the seat forward but it will depend on how you load the boat and how you like it to ride. I changed seats but left it in the same place as factory and i like it there...with the seat back off the top part of the bottom half is even with the gunwales

I think this is the simplest and easiest drag chain Idea...I stole it from Blackwater Bill and Seminole Steve of Georgia River Fishing but they got the 119 Idea from me so that makes us even.....

nckid, the seat mod you describe is exactly how I did mine. custom wooden cross beams, swivel mount, and a flip up seat on top. search posts by my name with "Old Town 119" and you'll see my modifications.

I replaced my knit seat with the new plastic fold down seat. I mounted the seat forward and installed new cross members which spread the gunnels out some. This seat lowers your butt below the gunnels. I was comfortable and I thought it paddled fine.

I also installed adjustable foot peddles. I used the recommended 5?? epoxy? After I felt much more part of the canoe.

I was thinking of putting kayak style foot pegs in my 119. Drilling holes in the boat makes me nervous, though.

You do not need to drill holes. The version I got has studs and then a flat at the end of the stud. You fiberglass that on the inside of the kayak and then attach the foot peg runners to that.

You can see one side mounted and one stud attached on the other side.

Look at the stud mount version. On that page there is also a picture of the stud.

I am pretty sure that wherever I got them from that they came with the fiberglass and resin and a couple of colored powders to make the resin opaque and maybe close to the color of your interior. I did not use it on mine.

I have a Pack which is almost identical to your 119 except the sides are 2" lower. I moved the seat forward and brought it up to the gunnels and actually noticed it is more stable. But remember that 2" height difference! I have floated it this way for 5 years.

I spread the gunnels further apart too like Fish Wisperer and I suspect that increased stability.

I had a buddy who brought his 119 seat up to the gunnels and then lowered it due to stability issues.

Below are some links of mods I made to my boat. Maybe not exactly what will fit you but might give you ideas.
