Went out of yesterday evening for a little Pamlico fun. Used 1/2 menhaden for bait on the lupton rig.

Thanks guys. We caught 4 of the big reds from 43" to 48". It' something I don't usually do, but it sure was fun. I'll be back after my usual trout, flounder, baby reds in the morning.

I might even be conservative and go with 1/4th of a mullet. But its hard to break out the mould when you're known as "half a fish".

If you ever need a buddy/ partner on one of those trips give me a hollar! I'd love to catch one, but lack the proper boat to handle the sound. I checked into a charter once.. no way I can sell it to the wife about paying that much to catch a fish I can't keep for dinner. It's one of my goals in life to land one of those big boys.
