Caught this beast today. Wish I would have had a scale. Not sure how much it weighs, but it measured about 24 ½. Im guessing around 9lbs or so. Thoughts?
I was looking for anything to measure the girth with but I was afraid of keeping it out of the water too long. I'm guessing she was about 16". I'll be fishing for her next spring when she's over 10 again
Hard to tell from pictures, but that's a really nice fish. Judging by mouth size compared to hand and the fatness of the body, anywhere from 7 to 9 pound class would be believable.
You're right, Sam, on the pics. Last post I had here about SW Park, I posted two pics of our biggest two fish, one of Rick's, one of mine. Mine looks larger, but it was actually 8 oz smaller than his. Weighed on good scales he's got. Either way, no way that fish is less than eight.
