As of this morning the Sox players were refusing to play today and then get on the plane to Tokyo tonight over a dispute about the coaches and staff NOT getting paid extra to go to Japan (the players are getting an extra $40K each for going). Did they settle that?

CoachD growing up the Pirates were my favorite team with Roberto Clemente, Manny Sanguillen, Doc Medich, Kent Tekulve, Rennie Stennet, Willie Stargell etc. The Reds were my second.
When Grady Little became the Manager my best friend's dad became the pitching coach and that is when I became a Red Sox fanatic and a member of the NATION before that I was just a fan. His name is Tony Cloninger and he is a NC boy. Unfortunately the year they won the WS against the Cards he got cancer and that is why they brought in Dave Wallace who is now fighting cancer.
