I've had a long dry streak from fly fishing (haven't been since the New River outing back in August), but I'm hoping to bring that to an end soon. I'd like to try a little streamer fishing, but the heaviest rod I have is a 6 wt, so casting some of the bulkier offerings is tough. I'm trying out my own variation of a Mickey Finn here, with some palmered hackle up at the head for a little more bulk in that area. Hoping it somewhat resembles a sculpin in the water. I know my tying sucks, but do you guys think this pattern will be useful?

Most materials have been restocked after the Asheville fly show...and we have added some new materials...and more on the way for 2015.

And, just a reminder, if you are interested in the tying classes mentioned here a few day ago....registration deadline is this week.

I wish I could come to the classes, Richard, but Tuesdays are tough with both the boys having ball practice that evening. My wife and I have to divide and conquer.
