Does anyone know any catfish ponds near Conover? Me and my brother-in-law are wanting to do some good ol' catfishin and were just wanting to know a good pond to go to. We unfortunatly don't have a boat at the time so we only get to fish on the shore of lakes. We usually fished on the shore of lake hickory and didn't really have any luck. Caught a few bluegill and one or two bass but they weren't really any size. So please let me know a good place to do some fishing. ​

Try Herman's Fish Lake. I used to fish there all the time. Also there is Robinson's. You can find the phone numbers for both in the phone book. Both are good ponds to fish.
