North end of Portsmouth Island has been hot for puppy drum lately but everything else is slow. No reports from the south end . Davis Island tournament is going on but the drum fishing there is slow but the flounder and sea mullet along with pompano and blues are cooperating. GO figure !

Sorry, but I thought I'd already replied. Must have punched the wrong button. Very few reports coming from there but the ones that have been say if you can fight the grass there is a mix of puppy drum, flounder, blues, spot, Va. mullett and a few pompano but nobody seems to be fillin' the coolers so to speak. You might find a big one or two. In fact they should be there. Try the north end if you can't get a local report at the ferry landing. I did hear of a couple 30"-36" being caught on Davis Island but they didn't divy up the spot. AL
