When I picked my boat up last weekend the fella at Chatlee was saying he wouldn't cover the boat because of mildew. I talked with Carver and a few other folks and they say their covers breath well enough that it isn't an issue.

I ordered a Carver cover this morning to cover the boat.

What is yall's experience and opinions? The boat will not fit in the garage and will have to be left outside.

Thanks

My cover has vents, two on the front, two in the rear. I have yet to spot anything that resembles mold

Its not good to cover it if it is wet inside. Covering a dry boat will keep it that way as well as protecting it from the sun and debris. You can put a box fan under the cover to keep the air circulating too.

If you use the boat, you probably will only get mildew while under cover but rarely mold, unless you let it sit for quite a while.
