Fished our jon boat tourney at Randleman today. Lot's of fish caught, jut not many big ones.

First had 18-4, second had 16-4, third had 15-3. There was a tie on big fish with a 5-4.

Fish were caught mostly on worms and jigs out a little deeper.

Fished Michie today, different lake but nearly the same results.

First 17-3 pounds, second 16 pounds, third 13 pounds. Big fish was 5-11.

It sure is nice to have such good places to fish in this part of NC. We are sure lucky.

That's the truth - I grew up in Pennsylvania. I might not be at the skill level of many of the NC fishers here but I love it that any day you go out, there is true potential to get a 3 or 4 lb bass and higher, and in numbers. Every single time, and not just in one particular lake. Its far less frequent up in PA. In any two year span here, I've caught more 5+ lb bass here than I did in 10+ years in PA. Not to mention bass is open year-round here, and also no ice-up. I am not sure if most of you appreciate all that as much as someone like me does! Of course, we could always move to Florida and get spoiled by the giant Florida strain bass there, lol.
