Decided to go out Saturday morning in less than ideal conditions. Winds were 15-20 and a miserable rain on top of that. Met up with my compadre Broncotwisterjim with redfish in mind.
The first three hours of our outing had us convinced that we could have picked a better day, nothing going on. We were able to spot drum stacked up in the creeks but they had no interest in anything we had to offer. Worked our way out of the creek concentrating on a oyster bed and Jim hooks a 19" trout. First fish in the boat.
We moved around and still no redfish landed. We decided to try one last honey hole and it was on.
In the period of an hour we landed 6 slot fish and 2 that were undersized in roughly 4' of water.
Not a bad way to end the day!
