so I tried to make sense out of the web site and that was a bust. Can anyone tell me how much it is to register a canoe so I can put a trolling motor on it?

Its a 16 Foot Scanoe.

I'm pretty sure you'll have to title and register the canoe which is $70 for the first year and $33 a year for renewal.

They recently tripled the cost of registration to help defray the cost of dredging the inlets. That'll give you peace of mind if you ever decide to head offshore with your canoe.
