About the only use I have for a jet drive on a boat is sprint boat racing. I love some sprint boat racing.
1000 horsepower jet drive on a tiny little aluminum boat. Big in Australia and New Zealand. We have some here in the northwest part of the country.

Spectator friendly. Plenty of mishaps and a contained course where a spectator can see everything no matter where he sits.
Some of these races the navigators don't get the course layout until just hours before the racing starts. You gotta be a quick study.

That's part of it. The same course can change from event to event. You have a navigator in the boat. His job is to learn the course and direct the driver.
