Me and bobby made our first trip this year rock fishin and slayed'em , caught 75 , on tha roanoke . You boys from northern sampson county better get on up here !!! Will be my last trip for awhile as my wife bonita is having foot surgery tomorrow morning and won't be able to walk for a while .

I went out there this past sat and could only manage to catch one bowfin on a rat l trap. Saw plenty of gar out there though but no stripers

I great day to stop on for awhile. Best wishes for the wife's speedy recovery, and to you as well, looking after someone that is not used to being incapacitated can be a trial in itself.

That's not the Roanoke... That's the cashie. I know that place like the back of my hand.

And the Rock are all the way up to Jamesville right now as well. I smashed them this past Saturday myself. Had 13 in about 3 hours.

thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes . got her home around noon and put her in bed where the doctor wants for stay for 48 hours . will be 4 weeks or so brfore we know if it was a sucess , pray that it was , many thanks again !!

Can I use a kayak in that area of the roanoke, or is a boat prefered/recommended?
