The John E. Pechmann Fishing Education Center will host a series of knowledge based fishing seminars that are designed to enhance angler success.
Fly-Fishing for Shad along the Roanoke River Seminar will be presented by N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission Fisheries Biologist Ben Ricks. Ben will provide valuable insight into the techniques and equipment when fly-fishing for shad.

Shad Facts: Spawning and movement habits
Equipment Used: Flies, rod and reel combinations, Explanation of equipment and their applications
Lure Presentation: Techniques for successful fishing trips.
