Spent the first part of the week on vacation at Wrightsville Beach. Met up with a local and got an inside tip on where we could get into the sheepshead. Found us some fiddler crabs and spent the next couple of days wrestling these bad boys. Another check on the bucket list for the junior member of team big bucks.

I love sheepshead. Great fighters. Those fish you caught are fun even at that size. Did you have to have esp in order to set the hook? Did you have a lot of "short hits"? There is an acquired skill to setting the hook in them. I always recommend a wager for most landed per bite

Nice catch. I'm at Topsail this week and trying to find a good location here to catch them. Seems like maybe they aren't here as good as usual?

Bridges, buoys, and deep water docks. Most bridges are heavily pressured so finding a bouy or dock would be a better bet.
