Getting geared up to fish Slocum and Hancock creeks once this wicked heat is gone. For those that fish these 2 creeks regularly, is there a wind direction that is best or worse to fish these areas?
I fish Slocum alot and I don't think either wind is better than the other. I went there this past Saturday and there was no wind and the fishing sucked (for me atleast). I wouldn't let the wind direction stop you from fishing the creek.
in my few trips, wind didn't hurt at all and probably helped, from any direction. what really hurt was rain in any measurable quantity in the preceding week.
