Got on the water this afternoon about 4:00. Only managed 1 keeper 19-inch red this trip, it was a bit of a slow day for me in the topsail area..not the best pic!

Noticed the tide was really high, so I ended up fishing way up in the creeks and bays that I normally pass on due to water depth. Water looked very fishy to me, there was bait, but not much to show for all of the paddling.

The keeper was caught in an area where I can usually find them on tough days, caught on a pro-cured paddle tail jig. This drum fought like an over-slot, ripping drag, staying down where I couldn't see him. Still amazes me how powerful these fish are even after years of catching them. Definitely fun..
