Fished from Kayak in the Roanoke River above Hardy Road Ramp, on Smith Mountain Lake. Paddled up river about 3 miles and drifted back to ramp, fishing on the way back. Caught 2 Warmouth, and & 7 LM Bass 12 to 15 inches. Used small powerbait minnow in several colors. All bass was in shade on rocky banks.

Thanks! Is that a fluke-style bait or the curly-tailed minnow? how'd you rig it?

It is a 3 inch Powerbait power minnow, or sometimes labeled drop shot minnow. I fish it on a 10wt. flyrod, wacky rigged a little towards the head with no weight added; #1 baitholder hook, other hooks I tried will allowed them to fly off. A little more of a barb! Cast close to bank and let settle down to bottom, and a couple short jerks. 90% of the time they hit on the fall for me.

PS; I cannot find them in stores here, order on internet.
