Heard another fisherman say it this morning and man was it true! Must have been at least 50 water snakes that I saw this morning. Great fishing though! Went this morning with 4 large bass 14+inches, 1 huge catfish (over 24in) and a couple of small crappie and blue gill, all on my gulp minnows that I use primarilyb for Bass. I even hooked a brown water snake before he wriggled off, was glad I didn't have to unhook him! If your heading there this week, keep your eyes open!

Brown water snakes are harmless it's just identifying them before you hurt yourself getting away that's the hard part LOL..

Oh I know they are harmless... it was just the shear volume of them...Literally 50+ in my 2.5 hours there.
Plus when you are kneeling down to unhook a fish, it's not fun to stare at your competition lickin' their lips.

Walking in knee high grass is also not so fun when you are trying to check the pattern on their back... when i don't check, I'll find the copperhead.

I love snakes in the Zoo or an Aquarium, not at my feet 8)
