So terrible....New "Point Break" movie

I figured some of you on here enjoy good cinema as much as the next man. In case you haven't heard, they have remade the cult classic "Point Break". They released the new trailer a few days ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQvPRb4HADE

Let's just say I am not impressed. How can you remake such a great movie? Swayze cannot be duplicated and this new remake isn't even like the original. I probably watched Point Break ten times every summer growing up. Easily one of my favorite movies.

I just hate to see such a classic movie getting ripped off again.

Can Hollywood not make anything originial anymore?

Most remakes are no bueno. The same for most sequels.

Yep, that looks awful. If they hadn't ripped off the title and character names might have been interesting but as-is has 0% to do with the original.

Red Dawn remake was blah, so was Footloose. I am not surprised this looks like the same deal.. I am eager to see the new mad max but I am going at it knowing it isn't going to be like the original but lots of CG blowing up stuff and fast cars so I will go to enjoy that only.. LOL

Ahh forgot about Red Dawn. Its like Hollywood is trying to remake every Patrick Swayze movie ever. Is Road House next?

actually yes they are, the same director that did Fast and Furious is doing it.

From everything I've read there's not a lot of CGI in the movie, mostly practical effects. This is the first remake, in like...ever I've really wanted to see.

There is also a Naked Gun reboot in the works. Is nothing sacred?

Nothing is sacred. All hollywood sees is $$$$.

Probably will be a Godfather remake soon with George Clooney as the Godfather....barf.

Glad I'm not the only one. I say, just ignore the title... and enjoy the movie.
