My buddy and I fished Oak Island this past weekend and I'd say we did fairly well. We caught the whole spectrum of fish; Redfish, Black Drum, Bluefish, Flounder, Spot, Sea mullet, pompano, and a shark. We each caught a stud Redfish and a keeper Black Drum. We caught the red's inshore on carolina rigs and everything else in the surf on bottom rigs. My Redfish was a solid keeper at 26 1/2" and my buddies was an over slot stud at 28". I also included the videos I put together from the weekend that I recorded with my GoPro; enjoy!

If anyone could fill me in on what type of shark that was that'd be great. I know it's not a Blacktip, I've caught tons of them. I've caught a few like this one and someone threw lemon shark out there?

Nice videos! The shark looks like a sandbar. I hooked one this in the pectoral earlier this year, makes for a heck of a fight.

Good call Savage. Looks like a sandbar to me as well. Good thing you didnt learn that lesson about how quickly they can turn back on you with a bigger one. I almost had a small blacktip take a couple fingers putting him back over the side of the pier years ago. It was a lesson you dont quickly forget.
