anybody familiar with Southport area maybe Feb. March / ideas on the bite / place to put in etc. would like to take a day or two if weather regulates would settle for some Johnni Mercer Time if anything going on

Nice ramp at the wildlife river access on Fish Factory Road, between Southport and Oak Island. As far as the bite, check out Marker 39 fishing forum on the web. From the ramp the ICW is very close. OKI bridge within site of river mouth and Southport waterfront maybe 1-2 miles in the opposite direction.

you can put in at southport marina, and go where you want from there, and johnny mercer we just went there not to long ago and caught some nice drum whiting and pompano
