I dropped some gopro cameras down in a hole packed with trout for 6 hours and came out with some solid answers to subjects that I have seen discussed on here over and over for years. I know the editing is awful but hang in there and you'll probably learn something useful. I know I did.

Thanks for sharing. Have you tried using filters over your lens to improve imagine?.....ICM

My waterwolf has automatic red and green filters but the gopro seems to do better. What sort of filter are you thinking? Like something that attaches to lens or something I do in my editing software after the fact?

Check this out. Think lens are a better choice than trying to correct imagine in editing .....ICM

Great stuff. Makes me feel good about my own observations because they mirror closely what your cameras showed. In particular with small fish vs bigger fish. I've caught a lot of bigger fish near the small ones but it never seems to be in the middle of them or really schooling with them.

Trout in general seem to move a bit like schools of reds which also seem to cover ground constantly, almost like they swim in a rotation in a relatively small area. Just goes to show that if you only fish waypoints you're missing out a bunch of fish.

Outstanding job Steven. I really enjoyed watching this. Pretty much validation for what I thought as well. Had no clue about smaller ones hanging on bottom. Keep these coming my friend.

A couple thoughts -
1) Your videos and tutorials, and mostly your commentary is awesome. Had I watched your video before my last trip to the river, I would have done things very very differently and probably had a lot more luck.
2) I found it pretty impressive that you replied to so many of your commenters on your Youtube channel. I'd asked about how you mounted the GoPro to get those vids, but didn't expect a reply back. Your replies were really helpful, btw!
3) Keep those videos coming, you have a good style. EliasV has a similar style, humble, passionate about fishing, videos are about the sport, not the guy on camera.

I'm down here in Wilmington, if you ever end up in this neck of the woods and want to take a trip, PM me, I feel like I owe you for all you've shared.

Yes, on my "Would like to fish with most" list, greenmonster is up there with Curtis Pelt! Glad to see a post!

Lots of other guys from here on that list too.
