I just got home a couple hours ago from NH on lake Winnipesaukee. I towed the boat up and fished all week. The weather couldn't have been better and the fishing was fantastic. I got about 30 fish all together; mostly LM, one SM, pickerel and a yellow perch. I only got two really good fish (pictured) and the rest were small, but still fun to catch. The Small mouth and Largemouth were caught on the same crank bait within twenty minutes. I finally had great luck with my crank baits!!!! I released all fish to be caught another day, maybe by me!

That lake is pretty amazing. I use to fish up there during the 6 years I lived in Mass in the 90's. A co-worker and good friend of mine owned a small cottage on the shoreline. It was very peaceful back then, hope it still is. We use to take the boat to "town" and eat lunch and walk around, then go back to fishing and skiing.

I seem to remember that is was formed by an ancient glacier or something.

Yes, it was formed by a glacier. It is still very peaceful. We practically had the lake to ourselves all week, except saturday. Then everybody was out. It got to like 80* or just about anyway. My family has had the lake house for 40 years. Hope we have it for another 40 and so on.
