Hopefully headed down for a couple of days this week. Anyone have a report of where to catch spots in the Emerald Isle/Morehead City area? Wont have a boat. Any advice would be appreciated.

I would head to the Bogue Inlet Pier. From their current fishing report it sounds like night be better than day.

Also- the Surf city pier has been slaying them the past week- mainly at night as well

i like it when you get on the peir and you see a man wid a coola fool of pinfish and they think they got spot!

I know last week I heard of some 140 and 60 fish days up there..down towards oak island...nothing.

Although my brother caught what I think was a citation size one yesterday but we didn't know of any weigh stations close and didnt want to kill the fish if it wasnt one....by far the biggest one I have ever saw though.
