I thought that I heard somewhere that once the water cooled off stripers could be caught around the bridge pilings on the Neuse at New Bern. Anyone know about that? The water is definitely cooler now but I haven't heard much. Did I hear wrong? Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks!

Key phase is "you have to be the one telling the story, not the one hearing it" I do my best rock fishing in the winter, less boats, people etc... The fish ars there but abit finicky, the colors or baits that work in one place may not work 2 miles up the river, that's fishing. I've found the fish stay close to the bottom and in the deepest water with structure (bridges are great). Find what they want and they'll bite and fight just as hard as they do in the summer. I think they actually fight better in the winter. For me winter IS rock season. Good luck!
