I have been trying to learn up on identification of grasses in the water lately. Seeing as how I visit regularly, does anyone have any info on what grasses can be found in the Neuse basin around New Bern, particularly the Trent. I think I have a few figured out (of a great variety found) but it seems to me that filamentous algae is making ID of some more difficult. I am planning on taking some pictures next time I am out which should surely help.
