Hey guys I'm totally new to this site but is read a lot before and u guys are ridiculosuky helpful. I am sixteen and about to go to sunset for a week and I Am 100 percent self taught fisherman and I would love to hear any advice fo fishing intercoastal waters there from the docks. Like should I cast net for bait, what tine to go, any specific area, and is it ok not to use a leader? Just please give me a how to on intercostal from a dock at sunset. I have a seven foot ugly stick with twenty lb mono test line btw. Thanks everybody I really appreciate any help I get!!

I fish near Ocean Isle, and I usually catch mullet with a cast net from the dock or boat and a fish them with a carolina rig around slack tides in the morning or afternoon. I've been catching a fair amount of reds this way (and one skate). Just go try stuff out until you find the magic combination.

Cast for shrimp around grass and docks, then use them under a popping cork or carolina rig.
