Took the boat I have for sale out for a spin to keep her limber and I can't be on water without fishing! I went up river (Tar area) to see what I could find and there wasn't much to it. Water was NICE but the flow is pushing upriver and this is reaking havoc in the areas usually dominated by freshwater species. I actually had problems with crabs ( yes I landed 2 big ones!) stealing bait all the way up beyond Seine beach (Grimesland). never had that happen before.... Caught one Bream and one Bowfin. Saw a few gars breaking the water. NO baitfish!! which is odd and I didnt even see turtles sunning on the logs... I guess this must be related to the quick influx of salt water to the Tar areas. I would have gone downriver into known salty habitat but I know the crabpots are terrible and i dont have a depth finder on the old boat so I fished from 2pm until "dark thirty" and called it a nice day out in nature!! Boat ran great, got the anchor hung and had to play with it but all in all a nice ride..

As of today the ignition is conquered and updated to a new style switch with intergrated choke. I also added a nice LED redlight where the old choke used to be to warn me when ignition is on. I am bad about leaving it on sometimes and killing my battery...LOL!
Shift box was a mess inside!! I scraped 30yrs of crud and dried up grease out of it and relubed everything so it works like new!

HEY! Smartbutt! newer than the "old style" LOL!! and the old style was newer than a rope! OK??..LOL!!! It's hard to keep this stuff up to date when all you have to work with is sticks and stones....LOL!
