My girlfriend wants to get a kayak. GOPC has a good deal on Tarpon 100s right now. Buy a Tarpon get a PFD and Paddle free. She will do a little fishing out of this but mainly just paddling around. Mostly on flat water or low current streams. She want's a light boat so she can load it on here car if she wanted to. I just want to get you guy's opinions on this boat. Or maybe some other suggestions. She is not really looking to spend $1000 on a boat either.

My wife paddles a Tarpon 100 and they are great little yaks. She weighs about 115lbs and can stand in hers even though there really isn't a flat spot for standing.

I've taken friends fishing using her Tarpon that go in the high 200's and floated them fine.

That looks like a great deal. I was looking at a Perception Sport Pescador 100 yesterday. It's made from the tarpon old mold and has sequential foot braces instead of adjustable foot pegs. I had my grown son,#190, sit in it an he liked it. Gander mountain has them on sale thru tomorrow for $399 with a paddle and life jacket. I'm sure the paddle and PFD won't be as nice as GOPCs but I'm basically looking for a fourth boat as everyone wants to paddle the Dan close to my home and none of my son's friends have yaks. I've noticed several of the stores are sold out this weekend. I'm assuming one could get a rain check.
