It's a great state, and as you are finding there is a variety of fishing and a lot of other outdoor stuff to get into. Should you find yourself up my way feel free to hit me up. I am not in your area, but you have found the single best online resource for fishing knowledge in this excellent Tarheel state, and one of the best communities you'll find... online or otherwise. Great state. Great people. Welcome to North Carolina, and welcome to NCAngler.

Take up surf fishing. You want entertainment while fishing. Go to the Outerbanks around holidays and even during the vacation period in the summer. There is plenty of entertainment. Especially when someone thinks all wheel drive is 4 wheel drive or that a Dodge minivan was made for foot deep sugar sand.
The classic...getting stuck in a parking place in a sand lot. Seen that alot at the rocks at Fort Fisher.
