Gorgeous fish....congrats
Spent 3.5 hours on the water, wind howling!! After all my efforts, skunked!! Nothing doing.Good luck. Catch many my friend!!
I loaded up after I heard the first bit of thunder. Just got in, looked at the weather channel, tons of rain/lightning on the way. I picked the perfect time to load up. Was not so fortunate this morning.Nice color on those fish. Rain got me coming in.
Nice!!I was on the water at 0600 despite the radar showing storms. I figured I would get 1-2 hours of fishing in prior to the downpours.
Went to one of my spots on the ICW and after a few minutes starting catching small trout on popping corks/DOA shrimp. All the trout were the same size.
Looked up and the sky was quite ominous, decided to move closer to the Sunset Beach boat ramp for a quick escape if the storm kept heading our way.
Anchored up and started throwing popping corks again, wife was throwing 17MR's. It was quite windy and it became a chore just trying to cast. Then, the wind stopped, dead calm.
Tossed my popping cork a few times and landed this red.
I could not keep my cap on it was so dangum windy.
Hoping things clear up and will try hitting it later again today.
