Went by there today to check it out.

I noticed in the seafood section they had whole bluefish labeled as being from the NC coast.

I didn't realize bluefish was such a big commercial fishery.

Seen seafood restaurants in the RDU area offer the things for $25+ per plate. I think they're favored up in Jersey or something......

Man they taste funky enough fresh, I sure as heck don't want one from a grocery cooler.. Bleh!

I don't mind a plate of blues once or twice a year. The only way I keep them is fillet them on the spot as caught.
It's just a more oily fish than what most people that primarily eat flounder and trout are used to. Like spanish and king, its a gamier taste to me especially not properly dressed.
Still hard to beat a grilled or broiled dolphin to me or even a grilled shark steak.
