lemonshark,

I'm a TX shark fisherman who recently got stationed in N.C.

I brought a good part of my shark fishing gear with me, including my kayak, leaders, and a few rods (Penn 555, Daiwa 40SHV, Penn 6/0, 9/0, Daiwa 600, and a few 4/Wides).

I'm itching to get a sand tiger....

Shoot me a PM or an email, I've got a truck and I'll pay for the trip if you help show me around the NC beaches. My biggest concern is breaking the law as far as beach access, overnight camping, etc.
We didn't have to deal with that in TX.

Thanks in advance!
Shawn

Thanks, I'll send you an email. I'm a pretty good ways away from Oak Island, but I'll make the drive if I have to! I'd really like to try it in the Nags Head/North end of Hatteras Island Natl Seashore as that's only an hour from me. But, if I have to drive to get a sand tiger, I'm all for it.

Thanks again,
Shawn

I may try to head to the Nags Head area this coming weekend (May 6-8). I'm not really familiar with the area, and where I am allowed to park and camp...so I can't be specific on where I'll be.

If anyone has any good spots in mind, in/around Oregon Inlet, that allow overnight camping and ORVs this time of year - I'm all ears! I have a kayak, and all of the shark fishing gear I needed in TX for 6-12' sharks...probably somewhat overkill to be honest. The only thing I don't have now that I had in TX is my fishing/fighting platform I used to have on the top of my truck (got a new truck, haven't modified this one yet).

All of this weekend will be pending my truck being repaired at a local body shop this week, also...as I take it in Monday. I hope to have it back by this coming weekend though.
