I have had a problem using the barb less hooks with the bait(shad or shiner) coming off the hook too easily but solved it by taking some white floating worms , cutting them into 1/2 inch pieces and then after putting on the bait I then thread the worm on sideways. it prevents the bait from coming off the hook and doesnt interfere with Stripers wanting it.

I can attest to this from experience. Luckily the game wardens there tend to be very helpful and understanding, from my experiences at least.

Agreed. And if you have a question about the regs give ncwildlife a shout. They usually have a pretty quick turnaround.
