Hello everyone I'm visiting family here in NC and we plan to to rent a pontoon at Jordan Lake for some fishing. Everyone is a novice fisherman so Id like to fish for the easiest thing to catch out there. I'm assuming that would be crappie or bluegill? What kind of bait should we be throwing and what part of the lake should we be fishing? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Best bet for just catching anything that swims would probably be picking up some worms and minnows. Rig them a foot or 3 under a cork. I would head towards the dam area and up into Haw River. Bream and perch are pretty plentiful around the grassy banks, laydown trees and cuts along the river where all the dead wood washes into. Cast within a few feet of the grass or laydown. Bream and crappie are also pretty plentiful around the bridges.
