I'll second that on New River having a nice bite right now. I've primarily been having the most luck with Red Drum though. I've been playing around in the evenings afterwork ivo the mouth of Wallace Creek area and have had some terrific luck with Red Drum. Just as the sun sets I have had the most luck. The biggest I have caught in the last week was a 26 inch Red Drum in that area off of a live shrimp hooked through the tail up into the body. Most of my luck has been just casting up close to the bank where the water is real shallow (1/2 to 2 foot) and then slowly reeling or jigging it in.
