Is anyone fishing in the tournament next weekend? This will be my first tournament so I am hoping to hook up on a few decent flounder and drum. Planning on heading down early Friday with my buddies to do a little pre-fishing to get ready for Saturday. Anyone going to be in the area or fishing?

Did you have any luck? I'll be fishing in the Carolina Beach Inshore Challenge Sept 13th for the first time. Seems like the Flounder caught around CB lately have been double the size that won the Topsail Inshore Challenge... Reds seems to be around the same size.

We managed 5th place in the flounder division with a 3.5lb flatty. Caught a few more smaller keepers. Couldn't manage any reds, but there were some nice ones weighed in. This was my teams first time fishing the topsail area so that is why our team name was Clueless. Overall though we had a great time winning a little cash and getting caught in one wicked storm on Saturday!!

Nice! that's awesome for it being youse guys first time. Yeah we still haven't came up with a name for our group. Keep up the good work! Oh you wouldn't happen to know what lures/bait was being used to catch them Reds would you ???
