Marine forecast showed a window of opportunity for this morning so I headed out at about 6:45. There was very little wind and the seas weren't too bad either - three footers but on 6 sec intervals so very manageable.

Arrived at the spot about 8 miles from the inlet, had the place to myself. Caught some nice black bass and one undersize flounder. Then the spiny dogfish bite started blitzing my bait. 5 or 6 releases and two lost bucktails due to cut offs and it was time to head home anyway before the afternoon winds picked up. Got a batch of fresh fish and some sunshine though :D

BTW - the side caster dredge is working the inlet. The big dredge finished its work a few months ago back in the channel. So it should be in pretty good shape for this spring.
